ABOUT US

NEWTOWNPARK PASTORAL CENTRE

HISTORY

Officially opened in October 2018 by Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, our new, light-filled Pastoral Centre is designed to address the needs of our vibrant and growing local community.

All good things start with one idea...

First conceived by Parish Priest Fr. Dermot Leycock in 2015, and mooted to his congregation in 2016, the concept of a new parish centre was enthusiastically greeted by the church community who, in tandem with the priests of the parish, engaged in a successful and innovative two-year fundraising campaign. Supported by parishioners and local business, the community worked together to turn a dream into a reality. The result is our spacious, architect-designed, eco-friendly Pastoral Centre with versatile state-of-the-art facilities which can meet both social and business needs.

ABOUT US / OUR COMMUNITY

Our centre is run by our Manager Sharon Burrell and staffed by a team of volunteers at Reception, in our café, and our beautiful garden and outdoor area.

We have classes currently running in the centre serving the varied interests and demographics of our community. Activities

Our Monday morning talks which address a variety of topics -from designing a garden to organising your tax affairs- have proved very popular and will continue in the Autumn.
